In this age of fast fashion, clothing is now produced by prioritizing profitability over quality. Many brands charge premium prices for clothing made from synthetic fibres, often hiding behind vague terms like ‘soft sweater fabric’ or ‘performance blends’ at the expense of the quality of the clothing and the planet.
It wasn’t always like this. We believe in a better way.
We are proud to say that all of the yarns we use at Atelier Solana are 100% natural.
We work with materials like cashmere, wool, alpaca, mohair, silk, and cotton when creating your pieces. We opt for silk ribbons over synthetic satins and use buttons and buckles made of wood and shells, not plastic.
Why is this so important?
Natural fibres are superior for your skin and for the planet. They are more durable than synthetics and simply look and feel better.
